Vision adding shadehouse cucumber program
The Vision Cos. are adding another item to their extensive list of grower-direct deals with an exclusive shadehouse cucumber program starting mid-April in Caborca, Mexico.
In collaboration with Agricola Los Chacuales, the “La Vision” label will accompany this program, which will kick off the second week of April and run through June. This is the second item that Vision is developing in the Corborca growing region by partnering with Agricola Los Chacuales.
“We are excited to develop another partnership in Caborca with Agricola La Chacuales and continue our growth in the region,” John Caldwell, vice president of sales for the Arizona division of Vision, said in a press release. “They are a socially responsible company that offers a safe work environment, competitive wages, supports non-profit endeavors and a family orientated culture. In addition, their operation is state-of-the-art and maintains Primus certification."
“Vision Produce values results but also value the strong future potential in its partners,” Ricardo Araiza, one of the team members at Agricola La Chacuales, added in the press release. “There is an investment in people that the company is devoted to and that we don’t come by every day. This is a stronger partnership due to their vision. We see this and reciprocate.”
This relationship has led Vision Produce and its growers to explore new markets together. In 2015, this new cucumber venture will enhance Vision Produce’s ability to add greater value to its U.S. customers and attain future expansion in Mexico and the United States.
