Veg-Fresh ships 3 millionth box of ‘Good Life’ organic produce
Veg-Fresh Farms launched its “Good Life” line of organic produce in 2012 in response to the growing demand for organically grown products. Since then, the group has expanded the line to include peppers, onions, tropical fruits and, most recently, strawberries.
Upon the heels of opening its new distribution facility earlier this year, the Veg-Fresh team announced the shipment of the three millionth package of “Good Life” organic produce.
“With the U.S. demand for organic foods expected to grow at around 14 percent annually for the next few years, we are positioned to help meet that demand as we expand our ‘Good Life’ line of organic fresh produce,” Randy Cancellieri, general partner at Corona, CA-based Veg-Fresh, said in a press release. “And while we are excited to have reached this 3 million milestone, we anticipate that number will quickly double, or more, as we continue to meet the evolving needs of our customers.”
According to a recent study by the Organic Trade Association, 81 percent of U.S. families purchase organic food at least sometimes, while 48 percent of those who buy organic food do so because they say it is “healthier for me and my children.”
Veg-Fresh Farms is also providing marketing support for its “Good Life” organic products to reinforce the health and wellness messages that are clearly resonating with consumers and driving purchases.
