Two Dutch trade shows slated for Nov. 5-7
The fifth edition of the International Floriculture & Horticulture Trade Fair will be held Nov. 5-7 at Expo Haarlemmermeer in Vijfhuizen, Holland, and exhibit space is fully booked plus there is a waitlist, according to an HPP Exhibitions news release, the expo’s organizers. The IFTF is an industrywide event serving all segments of the floriculture and horticulture trades.
Exhibitor interest was unexpectedly high this year and organizers are scrambling to create more exhibit space. Last year there was strong demand for booth space from flower growers, especially farms from Kenya, Ecuador and Colombia, but this year there’s also been increased interest from floriculture technology companies. Together with the FloraHolland Trade Fair in Aalsmeer, only seven miles away and also scheduled for Nov. 5-7, almost 1,000 companies will be exhibiting cut flowers, potted plants, tools, supplies, technology, new products, and more.
The Village is at the center of the FloraHolland Aalsmeer fair, where visitors can learn about emerging trends and new marketing concepts. Under the banner, “Delivering Happiness,” the Village time-travels to the future and looks at floral consumers’ projected buying behaviors in the year 2020, and the consequences created for the flower industry.
Both of the Holland expos will provide numerous networking opportunities for floriculture professionals to meet with buyers, growers and suppliers from all over the world.
