A new chapter is being written in the story of Nyssa, OR-based Fiesta Farms; the company has recently formed an alliance with Eagle Eye Produce for sales and marketing of Spanish Sweet onions from the Treasure Valley.
Marc Bybee, Fiesta’s vice president and third generation of a farming-shipping family, said Sept. 5 that the operation had partnered with Eagle Eye, which will “market the majority of onions from Fiesta Farms.”
Bybee said his father, Garry Bybee, who has headed Fiesta Farms since the mid-1970s and remains as president, will continue to handle some of his longtime sales accounts.

“This structure allows all of us to do what we do best,” Marc Bybee said. “It allows me to get back in the shed and manage quality control, which is an advantage for our growers and for me as well. And it allows Garry to be the professional golfer he has wanted while giving him the flexibility to maintain his longtime accounts.”
Bybee said Fiesta was shipping in early September and reported quality and sizing to be “very good.”
He said, “I am looking forward to this season for a lot of reasons. We have a good crop and we are excited to be working with Eagle Eye Produce in this new partnership. We’ve been selling onions through Eagle Eye for a number of years, and we decided to take it to the next step. This alliance is also important to Eagle Eye customers because Eagle Eye is essentially the grower.”
Lance Poole, vice president of Eagle Eye, said, “We are extremely excited about the opportunities it brings to both of us. For Eagle Eye, it extends our reach for our customers, and by the added volume we are able to give our customers more direct-source options.”
Poole said some of the packs will be shipped under the Fiesta labels, and some will be shipped with the “Eagle Eye” brand.
“Eagle Eye is a very professional marketing company with a great customer base,” Marc Bybee said. “Everyone in the company is very likeable, and they are humble and hardworking people.”
