World Floral Expo makes move to Chicago
The World Floral Expo 2014 will take place at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL, just a 10-minute ride from O’Hare international airport and only 45 minutes from downtown Chicago. After stops in New York, Miami and again in New York, it is Chicago’s turn to host the international flower trade show with exhibitors from all major flower producing countries.
Flower growers from Ecuador, Colombia, Kenya and Ethiopia will be among those displaying fresh-cut flowers, ready for immediate shipping, both through individual stands and national pavilions.
The show is geared toward anybody who is involved in the trade of fresh-cut flowers. Amsterdam-based HPP Exhibitions is the show’s organizer.
“Chicago is one of America’s biggest cities and one of the largest consumers of flowers and plants and therefore a logical move,” World Floral Expo’s show director Dick van Raamsdonk said in a press release.
The show will also host flower design demonstrations during the three-day trade event. Six master flower designers from Holland will demonstrate the latest trends in flower designing. A panel discussion on changing fresh flower distribution channels is also on the agenda.
Admission to the World Floral Expo and to the floral demonstrations is free of charge. More information can be found at www.worldfloralexpo.com.
