Tom Lange's Seven Seas New Jersey begins Moroccan clementine program
Seven Seas New Jersey, a division of the Tom Lange Co., announced the debut of a Moroccan clementine program in the United States featuring the Seven Seas "Clementines So Sweet" brand.
"We are excited to bring a kid-friendly bag that is packed locally," Bill Weyland, vice president of Seven Seas New Jersey, said in a press release. "Our global partners have the quality and supply that give us the opportunity to offer this to our retail and foodservice customers throughout most of the year. Look for the 'Seven Seas' label on additional products in 2014."
Phil Gumpert, chairman and chief executive office of the Springfield, IL-based Tom Lange Co., added that "while we are always looking to increase volume, the bigger goal is to increase consumption among children for overall wellness. This packaging will appeal to kids while promoting healthy eating habits. And this program is an appropriate step in continuing the expansion of the 'Seven Seas' label, both domestically and internationally."
The Tom Lange Co. is one of the longest standing employee-owned companies in the produce industry. As one of the largest distributors of fresh produce, Tom Lange serves the retail, wholesale and foodservice trades through an expansive global network of growers, shippers and logistic partners.
