Windset Farms bolsters sales team
Matt Modena and Rich Tiveron have joined Delta, BC-based Windset Farms, a grower of greenhouse produce. Modena will be based in California to help manage customer accounts in the Western U.S., while Tiveron, who will be based at Windset Farms’ headquarters in British Columbia, will support sales in Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest.
Modena was born and raised in Salinas, CA, and brings with him 13 years of produce industry experience.
Matt ModenaHis most recent employment prior to Windset Farms, was at River Ranch and Taylor Farms, where he helped in product management, commodity sales, national account management and business development.
Richard TiveronTiveron was born in Toronto and grew up in the Leamington, ON, area. He brings with him seven years of experience in the greenhouse produce industry, formerly at Mastronardi Produce in Kingsville, ON.
Most recently, Tiveron was a regional operations manager at Ritchie Bros., auctioneers managing multiple auction facilities in British Columbia where he managed aspects such as advertising, equipment sales and administration.
“We are very excited to have these two new additions to our team, as their industry knowledge and diverse experience will help strengthen our day-to-day customer relationships throughout Canada and the United States,” John Newell, chief operating officer of Windset Farms, said in a press release. “Matt and Rich come at a great time, complementing the recent expansion of our growing operations.”
Windset Farms is a family-run business that has become the one of the larger growers and marketers of greenhouse produce. It grows only non-GMO produce, including peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, eggplant and endive.
