New York Produce Show attendees feel that Pier 94 is a great venue
In the heart of Midtown Manhattan at 55th Street and the West Side Highway is Pier 94, a premier trade show and special event venue. It is located in what is perhaps the busiest commercial hub in the United States. It is situated in Midtown West on the Hudson River, a stunning backdrop for trade shows and consumer events across any industry. It is in the center of all of the villages and districts of the city, and close to the Theater District, Times Square and Central Park.
The Pier is home to design oriented events such as The Armory Show, Architectural Digest Home Design Show, The Pier Antiques Show and leading fashion shows during New York Fashion Week. The facility also regularly hosts parties and product launch events for groups ranging in size from small charitable foundations to Fortune 500 companies.
Besides being in a prime location, the Pier is established as a prestige venue in the New York convention and special event landscape.
Pier 94 offers 208,000-square-feet of contiguous exhibition space, shadowing its sister, Pier 92, with 75,000-square-feet of space. Combined, Pier 92/94 is the second largest facility in New York City. The Piers are connected by a spacious and welcoming headhouse. Both are wide open spaces with high ceilings and column-free corridors that can easily adapt to create an unlimited number of configurations.
Whether you’re traveling from abroad or one of the five boroughs, getting to Pier 92 and Pier 94 is easy. At Pier 92, 900 on-site parking spaces are available for cars, and an additional 15 spaces are available for commercial trucks and shuttle buses.
Some parking issues arose at the 2012 NYPS, but much of that was attributed to the effects of Superstorm Sandy. This year, NYPS officials and the Eastern Produce Council have worked to make more parking available with easier access.
Open rooftop parking at Pier 92 is $25 for 10 hours or $30 for 24 hours. Access to Pier 92 parking is via the automobile ramp at the intersection of 55th Street and the West Side Highway. Vehicles should follow signs for the NYC Passenger Ship Terminal Parking. Available parking is dependent upon cruise activity.
