Well-Pict launches interactive game on social media channels
Staying on top of popular trends in social media, Well-Pict Berries has launched its Berry Tasty Dash interactive game for the summer of 2013.
The Berry Tasty Dash is a virtual race from coast-to-coast with a cast of colorful berry contestants, each as vibrant and unique as Well-Pict's varieties of premium, proprietary berries.
While the contest will primarily be on Facebook, Well-Pict followers on Twitter and Pinterest will also be able to participate in a wide variety of challenges, such as:
"Stuart" got lost along the way and is wandering around on our Pinterest Boards, who can find him first?
"Kat" needs someone to tweet her directions to the next challenge based on a clue.
Audience members will have chances to win prizes at the end of each week's episode, and unfortunately, a contestant will go home each week, based on fan votes.
"We're excited about this summer contest for several reasons," Well-Pict Sales Manager Dan Crowley said in a press release. "First, it allows us to engage with our customers and retailers on a personal level. Secondly, we can offer healthy recipes and eating tips to a wide demographic, each with their own specific needs and likes. And last but not least, it's just going to be a great time."
Along with the anticipation for the game, Well-Pict is experiencing larger-than-expected volumes this summer, allowing ample supply through the back-to-school promotion time.
To facilitate the seamless production between crops, the Oxnard, CA, fields are being planted currently.
At the peak of their flavor profile, raspberries are being shipped and have begun the growing process under hoops, allowing the season for fresh raspberries to extend through November.
The Berry Tasty Dash launched July 15 and the finish line will be crossed Aug. 19. To play along, go to www.facebook.com/wellpictberries.
