Setton Farms to focus on pistachio flavor innovation at NYPS

pistachiosSetton Farms will have a lot to talk about at its New York Produce Show booth, where the company aims to create conversations and curate pistachio programs that fit retail partners’ needs.

“We think that the NY Produce Show is perfectly sized, allowing attendees and exhibitors to maximize their time,” said Joseph Setton, executive vice president. “It is so impactful for our team to be able to have face-to-face conversations and give a hands-on tour of new products and the shipper displays available.”

Setton Farms will be exhibiting at booth No. 229, featuring its top products and shipper displays. Tajin and Buffalo Wing Seasoned Pistachio Kernels will be shown, offering all the health benefits of pistachios with bold, natural flavors. Expanding the category, organic pistachios, available roasted and salted inshell or shelled, will also be shown.

As more consumers reach for organic products at traditional grocery stores (versus specialty shops), Setton Farms fills a void in the market with its certified organic premium pistachios, Setton said.

These and other Setton Farms’ stock-keeping units are housed in versatile, high-graphic displays that feature nutrition callouts to capture consumer attention. Retailers with minimal floor space have the option to hang the shelf unit on other bins, shelves or structures throughout the store, making it easy to place alongside beverages, other snacks or ingredients to create fuller displays, according to the company.

Setton Farms is sponsoring the center stage Grazing Board Demonstration at the event, featuring premium Tajin Seasoned Pistachio Kernels and Raw Pistachio Kernels.

“We’re excited to be part of this sponsorship, which really showcases how pistachios are more than just a snack but can enhance any dish,” Setton said. "The company’s Raw Pistachio Kernels offer a fresh-from-the-orchard taste unlike anything on the market."

The company will be sampling its Pistachio Pub Mix with trade show attendees.

“It is a bold and savory blend of Setton’s award-winning Buffalo Wing Pistachio Kernels, crunchy ranch corn nuggets, savory honey roasted sesame chips and hickory almonds,” Setton said. “Together these four ingredients take bar snacks to the next level.”

The New York Produce Show provides opportunities for face-to-face conversations to educate attendees on why pistachios are the superfood of the nut industry, while sharing an innovative line of SKUs that attract customers.

A serving of pistachios equals 49 kernels — more than any other nut. It’s a complete protein, containing all nine essential amino acids necessary for supporting growth and maintaining health and is high in antioxidants, according to the company.
