After remarkably successful marketing efforts the past two seasons that have taken the Vidalia onion as far as Hollywood and Music City USA, the Vidalia Onion Committee this year is focusing its promotional efforts on giving consumers something they really want: money in their pockets. Two years ago the committee partnered with DreamWorks Studios and its summer blockbuster movie “Shrek Forever After” in a strategy that moved millions of onions.
