The 2026 R.I.S.E. to Support campaign is proof that when the floral industry rallies around a shared purpose, remarkable things happen. More than 130 donors came together to contribute over $150,000, surpassing the campaign’s $120,000 goal and making it the most successful R.I.S.E. to Support campaign in its history.

Allegiance Retail Services LLC has promoted Samer Rahman to president and chief operating officer. Rahman, who currently serves as executive vice president and chief merchandising officer, will assume his new responsibilities immediately, driving operational excellence and strategic growth across the co-op's multi-banner network.

The International Fresh Produce Association welcomed foodservice professionals from across the supply chain to Monterey, CA, this past week for The Foodservice Conference, bringing together operators, distributors, menu developers, school nutrition leaders, chefs, suppliers and solution providers for two days focused on one shared goal: getting more fruits and vegetables on more plates.

This weekend the Giant Co. celebrated grand re-openings of its two Chambersburg, PA, stores following several months of major renovations.

The summer melon season is kicking into high gear. With July wrapping up and August just days away, cantaloupes, honeydews and watermelons are moving into strong production and are ready to feature in weekly ads.
