It is an understatement to call 2020 a difficult year, but Rankin McDaniel Sr., president of McDaniel Fruit Co., believes the novel coronavirus brought out the best in both his employees and the avocado industry at large.

Taylor Farms is a family-owned-and-operated company that specializes in supplying salads, fresh-cut vegetables and healthy fresh foods to the foodservice, retail produce and retail deli segments of the fresh business.

During the Idaho Potato Commission’s October meeting three new commissioners representing the grower sector of the industry were sworn in: Ron Ambrose of Four Ace Farms in Wendell; Mark Darrington of Big D Farms in Declo; and Eric Jemmett of J&S Farms in Parma. Each serve a three-year term. Todd Cornelison of High Country Potatoes and Brett Jensen of Brett Jensen Farms were appointed chairman and vice chairman, respectively.   

As Schnucks continues to expand its convenience offerings for customers, Schnuck Markets Inc., in partnership with Instacart, will now offer Curbside Pickup at 10 additional locations in the St. Louis area. These new additions bring the total number of Schnucks stores offering Curbside Pickup to 70.

Bard Valley Date Growers was formed from various Medjool Growers in the Bard Valley area who wanted to come together and establish consistent growing practices that were industry leading to set themselves apart from others in California.
