Connecticut’s agricultural industry is building momentum in 2026 through a combination of strategic investments, expanded local food initiatives and consumer outreach designed to strengthen farms while increasing demand for Connecticut-grown products.
From funding farm expansion and succession planning to promoting seasonal crops and celebrating the state’s agricultural heritage, the Connecticut Department of Agriculture has launched a series of initiatives this year that underscore its long-term commitment to the industry.
