New Bolthouse Fresh brand features new products, packaging
Bolthouse Fresh Foods, an entity recently established with the split of Bolthouse Farms’ fresh and beverage lines, is unveiling a new look, new brand and new products.
Bolthouse Fresh Foods is rolling out the new Bolthouse Fresh brand, packaging and products this fall at produce industry events and directly to retailers and foodservice customers, expanding value-added options and flavors in the carrot category.
The new offerings are:
- • Bolthouse Fresh Carrot Shakers: Baby carrots with a seasoning pack, with dill pickle, chili lime and ranch options. Bolthouse Fresh offers them in multi-packs of five, with each pack weighing 2.5 ounces, for a total of 12.5 ounces.
- • Carrot Side Dish Sizzlers: Premium sliced carrots designed for quick preparation for cooking on a stovetop, or in an air fryer or oven. They come in three varieties: Garlic Herb, Sweet Honey Heat and Herb Vinaigrette, in 10-ounce packages.
- • Fresh Soup n’ Stewin Carrots: For soup and stew season, these cut carrots are designed to add directly to hearty dishes, simplifying meal preparation. They are available in 12-ounce bags.
“We’re incredibly excited about the launch of our current flavors for both Sizzlers and Shakers, and the initial feedback from our customers has been overwhelmingly positive,” said Karen White, vice president of marketing for Bolthouse Fresh Foods. “We’re always listening to what excites our customers, and we’re definitely exploring new flavor options for future expansions.”
The company is focusing on trending flavors and classic favorites as it considers new products. “As we grow the line, you can expect exciting introductions and potential follow-up line extensions that will keep things fresh and flavorful,” she said.
The new products, packaging and branding are designed as a new approach to engage consumers in fresh and innovative ways.
“Our goal is to expand the carrot category by highlighting how carrots can be enjoyed across multiple usage occasions throughout the day,” White said. “Whether it’s juicing in the morning, snacking in the afternoon or cooking a side dish at dinner, our packaging now emphasizes the versatility of carrots for every meal.”
The approach transcends traditional perceptions of carrots, she said, positioning them as a go-to vegetable with a unique ability to serve multiple roles in consumers’ daily snack and meal routines.
“By guiding consumers through these usage occasions directly on our packaging, we’re aiming to engage them in a deeper way and expand their view of how carrots fit into their lives,” White said. “We believe this strategy will drive excitement and adoption, showing that no other vegetable offers the same level of adaptability and convenience for modern, healthy eating.”
Bolthouse Fresh Foods fully launched the new branding, with the theme of “Modern Roots,” at the National Association of Convenience Stores Trade Show and the International Fresh Produce Association’s Global Produce and Floral Show in October.
White said Bolthouse Fresh Foods’ representatives are excited to discuss the ongoing launch of the Bolthouse Fresh brand, an important step in releasing new products and updated packaging. Customer and partner feedback is crucial during the process, she said.
Throughout the rollout, Bolthouse Fresh Foods is maintaining a strong digital presence with a revamped website launching in November and increased social media engagement.
“We’re not just promoting our products — we’re actively engaging with consumers by sharing recipes, product information and highlighting our amazing team members who are helping drive the brand forward,” White said. “It’s all about building a community around Bolthouse Fresh and reinforcing the personal connection between our products and the people who enjoy them.”
