Now, in 2024, the company is celebrating its 70th anniversary while maintaining its commitment to excellence and the legacy of integrity that has been the guiding principle since Malena Produce first opened its doors.
“As I look back on the transformation of Malena Produce and its team of people, I realize that I was very privileged to have been — and still remain — an integral part of their growth and future planning for the company,” said Jim Cathey, a longtime produce marketing professional and now a consultant for Malena Produce.
The Malena team is always striving to provide excellent service and bring the best quality fruits and vegetables to the consumers’ table from the most naturally rich growing areas in Mexico. As the company celebrates this remarkable milestone and continues to reach new markets throughout North America, it is excited to share new projects that support the mantra, “It’s Always Malena Season.” These projects include:
- New value-added consumer packs aiming to improve customer experience throughout Malena’s family of products.
- Greater focus on flavor and new experiences by adding new produce varieties for consumers.
- An increased capacity with new grower-partners and better infrastructure, improving services across the supply chain.
