Honeybear Brands acquired two separate facilities in Pateros, WA. The purchase of the Big River cherry facility will bolster the Honeybear northern Washington operations by providing additional supply and production capabilities. The purchase of another apple production facility will offer increased packing and cold storage capabilities to support the company's continued organic sales growth and program demand.

This past winter has really set produce crops into an uncontrolled situation that is driving produce directors and buyers crazy. After all, developing an ad program currently is quite a challenge with up and down supplies and costs. And some of the high-volume sales items have been either short, on a supply downtrend or unavailable.

BJ’s Wholesale Club Holdings Inc. has appointed President and CEO Bob Eddy as chairman of the board, effective June 15. Eddy will succeed Chris Baldwin, who will remain on the company’s board as a director.

The Citrus Committee of ASOEX, the fruit exporters association of Chile, released its estimate for the 2023 season, projecting global exports of 345,000 tons. This represents a significant increase across all categories from 2022, when Chile was negatively impacted by climatic factors, logistical issues and rising freight costs. Citrus exports in 2022 were consequently down by 32 percent.
