Ocean Mist IFPA Show booth to feature full commodity, value-added lines
Ocean Mist Farms is highlighting its Roastables Ready-to-Roast kits line at the International Fresh Produce Association’s Global Produce & Floral Show.
The Ocean Mist booth (No. 3261), will feature the company’s full line of commodity and value-added items along with its Roastables line, initially launched at the 2024 IFPA show with three products, and expanded earlier this year with four additional flavor/vegetable pairings.
The full Roastables line is:
- Sweet Sesame with halved Brussels sprouts
- Lemon Caesar with halved Brussels sprouts
- Sun-Dried Tomato with halved Brussels sprouts
- Zesty Herb with broccoli florets
- Sweet Teriyaki with broccoli florets
- Spicy Buffalo with cauliflower florets
- Parmesan & Black Pepper with cauliflower florets
Ocean Mist will be serving fresh-prepared samples of the four newest Roastables flavors, with broccoli florets and cauliflower florets at its booth. Lori Bigras, communications manager at Ocean Mist Farms, said the roasting kits are a delicious way to enjoy unique chef-inspired flavors with fresh vegetables.
“Consumer response to these tasty Ready-to-Roast kits has been overwhelmingly positive,” Bigras said. “Consumers love the variety of flavors, the convenience, and the no-prep simplicity.
“For busy parents especially, the quick cook time is a game changer — making it easier to get a nutritious, flavorful meal on the table fast,” she said. “And the fact that many parents have reported their kids actually love vegetables now is a win!”
Two months after Roastables debuted in October 2024, the line captured the prestigious Joe Nucci Innovation Award at the New York Produce Show & Conference. The award honors the “best product innovation in service of expanding fresh fruit and vegetable consumption.”
“The award validated both the successful launch and the kits’ alignment with consumer demand for nutritious, on-trend meal solutions,” Bigras said.
The Ocean Mist booth, which was redesigned and launched at the IFPA show in 2023, features a retailer-style design that allows the company to display a comprehensive view of its full line, displayed in produce department-style coolers.
The booth is easy to navigate, and the displays highlight the breadth of Ocean Mist products in an engaging way, Bigras said. The booth drew strong enthusiasm from visitors at the expo.
“Designed with an open layout for smooth traffic flow, the booth also features multiple multimedia stations featuring stunning video and drone footage of Ocean Mist Farms’ fields, harvests and crops — creating an immersive and memorable experience for attendees,” Bigras said.
Beyond Roastables, Ocean Mist has additional innovations in the pipeline, and Bigras said the company is confident they will resonate with consumers, as it continues to expand product development and innovation efforts.
Ocean Mist, based in Castroville, CA, is taking advantage of the close IFPA Show location, the Anaheim Convention Center, sending about 25 company representatives to the event.
