FreshXperts adds value-added specialist
FreshXperts, a leading consortium of fresh industry experts, announced that Dean Fahselt has joined the consultancy as value-added specialist. He will assist FreshXperts' clients as they seek to identify and implement value-added opportunities for their produce lines.
"Today's consumer is looking for fresh foods that are quick and easy to prepare," Mr. Fahselt said in a press release. "They are very busy and want to spend less time preparing the food

Mr. Fahselt has 22 years of experience in fresh food, and has led some of the produce industry's larger and more prominent value-added companies in the development of new products and innovative packaging. Additionally, he has crafted and implemented marketing and branding strategies that have resulted in multimillion-dollar profits for the companies he has led.
Most recently, Mr. Fahselt spent eight years at Chiquita/Fresh Express, where he held various senior leadership positions in the salad category, and was instrumental in the development and commercialization of new products and packaging. He has also been employed with Earthbound Farms, where he was vice president of sales and new business development. He also spent 10 years at Melissa's/World Variety Produce, where he held positions as director of sales and marketing and business development manager.
