Duda Farm Fresh Foods expanding its organic offerings
Duda Farm Fresh Foods representatives, Tim Ross, John Alderman and Shayne Gordon will represent Oviedo, FL-based Duda Farm Fresh Foods at the New York Produce Show on Dec. 12 in New York City.
Nichole Towell, senior director of marketing for the leading fresh fruit and vegetable grower, said the company will be at booth number 268 on the tradeshow floor at the Javits Center Hall 1C in New York City.
“Duda has been attending the New York Produce Show every year since the first show in 2009,” said Towell. “New York is a large market for fresh produce, so attending the show provides us with quality facetime with our customers in the Northeast.”
She added that because New York is known for being on the pulse of the “next big thing,” the location of the show also exposes Duda Farm Fresh Foods to upcoming and growing trends in the industry.
“We are able to learn more about the ever-changing market while also learning what could be the next big thing to hit shelves,” she said.
Duda Farm Fresh Foods will be exhibiting its full line at the event, with special emphases on its Dandy Organic Four-Inch Celery Sticks in an eight-ounce package.
“We have had this item in test markets for the past year,” explained Towell. “Our organic supply is growing, and we look forward to discussing opportunities with existing and prospective customers at the New York Produce Show to further increase this section of the market. We will also be showcasing Duda Farm Fresh Foods’ Dandy Brand Tray Pack Corn and Ready Radishes which are available in three value-added bags; Ministicks, Coins and Whole Ready Radishes.”
Towell said the company recently announced the expansion of its Oxnard, CA cooling and fresh-cut facility to better meet increased celery demand from foodservice, retailers and consumers.
“This expansion will allow us to double our current output of fresh-cut product and increase jobs by 17 percent,” she stressed. “Once the facility is complete, we’ll be able to provide retailers and consumers with a greater supply of celery during peak consumption times, such as the Super Bowl, New Year’s diet resolutions and others.”
