Skip Consalo honored by Vineland Soup Kitchen
Skip Consalo has always been about giving back to his community. Now, the community has again recognized the CEO of Vineland, NJ-based Consalo Family Farms for all he has done.
On March 1, Consalo was honored by being named co-chair of the Vineland Soup Kitchen’s fourth-annual Night for the Needy, held at the Merighi’s Savoy Inn in Vineland. According to Chelsea Consalo, Skip’s daughter and the company president, Skip was honored for his work with the soup kitchen and other charitable ventures in his community, including donating produce.
Consalo is a third-generation member of the family to run the business, with his two daughters and son now involved in executive positions. He started working at Consalo by loading trucks in the 1970s.
“It is an honor for me, as vice president of the Vineland Soup Kitchen, to see that my father was recognized for all he does in our community,” said Consalo Family Farms president Chelsea Consalo. “He gives back so much and truly deserves this recognition. It was a wonderful night.”
