Wonderful Sweet Scarletts bring sweet taste of Texas to the Midwest
The growers of Wonderful Pistachios, POM Wonderful and most recently Wonderful Halos are making winter sweet for families in the Midwest with new Wonderful Sweet Scarletts Texas red grapefruit.
Grown, packed and shipped by Paramount Citrus, a leading North American citrus grower, the premium red grapefruits are available now through April in select Midwest cities, including Chicago, Detroit, Indianapolis and Columbus, OH.
"Sweet Scarletts are so sweet you won't even need to add sugar," Marc Seguin, vice president of marketing for Paramount Citrus, said in a press release. "The combination of warm Texas days with cool nights yields sweeter and vibrant red grapefruits. We're confident health-minded families will reach for Sweet Scarletts not only at breakfast, but also for a sweet, satisfying treat throughout the day."
Texas red grapefruit has a number of benefits to offer and can be easily incorporated into a healthy eating or weight management plan. Half of a medium grapefruit is about 60 calories and provides 100 percent of the recommended daily value of vitamin C. In addition, Sweet Scarletts grapefruit is certified by the Non-GMO Project.
Wonderful Sweet Scarletts are making a sweet splash in the Midwest's produce aisles of leading grocery, mass merchant and club stores. Sweet Scarletts are sold in five-pound bags, eight-pound boxes, and as loose individual fruit. For more information, visit sweetscarletts.com.
