VASIC multipurpose fresh-cut flower vase debuts
VASIC is a newly invented, multi-purpose vase introduced by Wet Ahoy Industries in Burbank, CA, and it is currently available in four styles (daisy, heart, iris and lily) and seven colors (canary yellow, ruby red, tangerine orange, robin egg blue, hot pink, kelly green and white).
Wet Ahoy Industries believes that VASIC’s design, practicality, ease of use and durability will revolutionize the way flowers are presented.
“It is something new and we see great potential for the product,” said Arick Gevorkian, director of corporate sales for VASIC Floral. “We launched the VASIC mainly through the internet and social media. We were very pleased with our sales for Valentine’s Day and we are now in the process of setting up a network of independent sales representatives in all 50 states and Canada.”
VASIC was designed to replace generic bouquet wrappers, reduce the number of flowers used in a bouquet, provide constant hydration to flowers and offer display advantages.
“We see them being sold in specialty stores, retail florists and through supermarket floral shops,” said Gevorkian. He told The Produce News that designers are currently working on some new styles and also on a smaller version.
VASIC Floral recently donated 300 colorful vases with flowers to every child at the Los Angeles Children’s Hospital to celebrate the arrival of spring, according to a news release. To comply with the hospital’s infection control requirements, the vases were filled with artificial flowers. Families may choose to take the vases home and use them with fresh flowers or plants. VASIC Floral team members and executives hand delivered the vases and flowers to the hospital.
VASIC is designed, patented and manufactured in the United States.
