Retail fresh-cut specialist Renaissance Food Group announced the addition of Fruit Dynamics LLC in Naples, FL, to its fresh-cut supply chain network. Renaissance began shipping to Southeast retailers from the new location on July 1.
The new license agreement will expand Renaissance's next-day fresh-cut distribution of its "Garden Highway" line of premium quality fresh-cut fruits, vegetables and overwrap melon halves and quarters to retailers in Florida, Georgia, Alabama and South Carolina.
"Fruit Dynamics processing and food safety standards are tops in the fresh-cut industry. Their addition will add great value to our fresh-cut program regionally and nationally, Jim Catchot, Renaissance president and chief executive officer, said in a statement.
Headquartered in Naples, FL, Fruit Dynamics will pack and ship for Renaissance under the "Garden Highway brand, including Renaissance's exclusive line of overwrap melons. To accommodate new plant volume, Fruit Dynamics recently expanded its production capacity.
