She first joined the company in 1999 as general manager of the fruit division, was promoted to senior director of marketing within fruit, vegetables and complete meals in 2005, and later was named vice president of foodservice for national accounts, where she remained until 2012.
Prior to rejoining the company, she held the position of vice president of business development and national accounts at Fresh Connect LLC.
“Ali is a stellar example of what hard work and creative insight can get you in the produce industry,” Barb Dan, senior vice president of marketing at Ready Pac, added in the press release. “Her tenacity in implementing key functional initiatives during her time with Ready Pac made an impact that still affects the way we do business every day. I am thrilled to see Ali return to the Ready Pac team, and we’re eager to leverage her knack for innovation in foodservice to continue moving our business forward.”
In her new position, De Anda will be responsible for handling buying for many categories, including citrus, apples, peppers, squash and specialty exotics.
Prior to joining Ready Pac, De Anda worked for Los Angles-based JC Produce, and most recently for Los Alamitos, CA-based Frieda’s Inc. She has been working in the produce industry for 19 years.
Outside of work, De Anda enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter.
