Potandon bringing back display shipper program
Potandon Produce LLC, a leading potato and onion marketer based in Idaho Falls, ID, is reprising its successful and popular mini potato display shipper for the 2015 spring-summer selling season.
Originally developed as a secondary display for the Klondike Gourmet mini potato line, these shippers exceeded expectations and retailers kept asking for them, according to Dick Thomas, senior vice president of sales.
“The mini potato segment of our business has been growing steadily, and this selling unit has proven itself to be a key in establishing new business for Potandon,” Thomas said in a press release.
The shippers are compact with a small footprint, which allows them to be placed almost anywhere. They are easily refillable and durable enough to last all summer.
With the summer heat and high levels of humidity right around the corner, these cardboard units are shipped empty. Set up and stocking them take just a few minutes as they are mostly prefabricated. There are six different varieties of 24-ounce mini potatoes that can be used to fill the unit.
