The American Peony Society is holding its annual convention at the Hyatt Regency Green Bay June 1-5 in Green Bay, WI, according to a news release. The convention will feature garden tours, bus trips to popular peony nurseries throughout the state, a flower show, educational seminars and more.
Local peony hybridizer Nate Bremer, owner at Solaris Farms in Reedsville, will be exhibiting thousands of peonies in display gardens during the convention and will also be hosting a peony-hybridizing workshop on June 1.
The American Peony Society will hold its annual convention June 1-5 in Green Bay, WI.On June 2-3, convention goers will have the option of a chartered bus tour to Klehm’s Song Sparrow Farm & Nursery in Avalon, Sisson Peony Gardens in Rosendale, Solaris Farms in Reedsville, Gary Bieck Gardens and Kris Casey’s perennial gardens in Manitowoc. The newest and highest quality tree peonies and advanced generation herbaceous peonies, many of which have not yet been introduced to the market, will be on display.
The American Peony Society Flower Exhibition will be on June 4 and an evening auction will highlight rare and brand new peony varieties. June 5 will feature self-guided tours of public and private gardens, as well as visits to local nurseries.
