Hudson River Fruit Distributors launching new 'Red Chief Juice Blends' apple bags
Hudson River Fruit Distributors in Milton, NY, is a well-known producer, packer and shipper of apples.
This year, the company is doubly excited about its two new product offerings: “Lil Chief” and “Red Chief Juice Blends.” Company President Harold Albinder, who founded the company with his father, Isador (Izzy) Albinder in 1963, said the company is proud to develop and launch items that provide consumers — kids included — with healthy alternatives for snacks, lunch boxes, deserts and other courses.
“’Red Chief Juice Blends’ continues Hudson River Fruit Distributors' tradition of providing alternative snack ideas that are not only healthy but affordable too,” said Albinder. “The four-pound upright juicer bag promotes four different ways to eat apples: juicing, blending, baking or cooking. The bags have recipes printed on the back for each use.”
The bags are available packed with Honeycrisp, Gala, Empire or Red Delicious apple varieties.
Albinder stressed that apples are packed full of beneficial vitamins and minerals, and that by adding them to diets is a great way to get nutrients and vitamins that people may not be getting from their normal meal-time choices.
“The juice blends are a great grab-on-the-go bag for all needs,” said Albinder. “They are perfect for a breakfast go-to, a morning snack or a yummy side dish for dinner. ‘Red chief Juice Blends’ offers the diversity necessary to become a staple in every consumer’s grocery cart.
"We have gotten great feedback so far on the juice blends, and we feel sure they will be a great hit this season," he added.
The other new item, “Lil Chief” is a re-launch from one year ago that enjoyed great success, and so is being offered again this fall.
“This is a three-pound pouch bag geared toward kids,” said Albinder. “The apples are small, and easy for kids to hold, but large enough for kids’ big appetites. We anticipate continued success with this item.”
