I Love Produce to debut new offering at IFPA Global Expo
I Love Produce, an importer and distributor of garlic, ginger and shallots, based in Kelton, PA, is introducing squeezable jars of garlic and ginger at the International Fresh Produce Association Global Produce & Floral Show in Anaheim, CA.
Company President Jim Provost said the new product line is the result of a collaboration with a manufacturing partner in India, which he characterized as the second largest garlic producing country in the world. In mid-September, he said the line was currently in production with the first shipments expected to arrive in the United States shortly before the IFPA convention.
“Our partner in India specializes in shelf-stable sauces and purees,” Provost said. “Our new line comes in four options featuring garlic and ginger paste.”
He credited I Love Produce colleague Isha Ghetia for spearheading the production and design of the firm’s new line of squeezable jars from India. He said the India native, who has been with I Love Produce for more than six years, worked directly with the factory to develop and produce the new jarred line.
Provost noted that Vice President of Sales Eric Frasse is overseeing the launch of the new jar line, and will be leading the sales team at the Global Produce & Floral Show as it launches these new retail options.
“We are thrilled to introduce our brand-new range of garlic jars, available in four convenient sizes: 8-, 4.5- and 32-ounce and our innovative squeezable jar,” Frasse said. “Our dedicated efforts have resulted in the creation of a sleek and cost-effective squeeze jar that we are confident our customers will adore both for its aesthetics and affordability. This marks an exciting milestone for I Love Produce and promises a rewarding experience for our valued customers.”
Provost said that the expansion of the line is consistent with the company’s strategy as a global sourcing distributor of its core products. “We follow the seasons globally and have a year-round supply,” he said, noting that the company sources from about a dozen different countries in both hemispheres.
He said that it has been a challenging year on the supply side for its core items as there have been weather issues in several countries of origin — including lots of rain in South America because of this year’s El Nino effect.
Nonetheless, I Love Produce will have a full line-up of products to showcase during the IFPA show. “We welcome attendees to our booth No. 2036 at the Global Produce & Floral Show to learn about our full line of garlic, ginger and shallots,” Provost said. “Feel free to reach out to the I Love Produce team if you want more details on these incredible squeezable jars.”
He added that the newest member of the team will be at the show. “Hannah Cleveland started with us this past July and has extensive experience in logistics and is helping I Love Produce with marketing, sales support and logistics,” he said.
