El Sol Brands to have a fresh line of products at IFPA Global
El Sol Brands has established a reputation for delivering the highest quality tropical produce to consumers. Based in Miami, the company has found a loyal following, particularly among Hispanic communities.
With more than 100,000 square feet of warehouse space in Miami and New York, El Sol Brands is capable of overnight deliveries to most locations along the East Coast, which makes it a go-to choice for many in the region.
The company is currently gearing up for attending the IFPA Global Produce & Floral Show and has big things planned. The company will be showing its products at booth No. 657 and invites all attendees to come and talk shop and see what it has to offer.
“We have increased our space footprint, so we can accommodate a large selection of our plantain chips, which is a big part of our strategy going forward,” said Luis J. Perez, vice president of sales for the company. “We also have our new Lizeta’s Marinades and that will be a key item on display at the show because we want to give that a big push.”
The booth will also include a newer item, dates from Israel, which El Sol has recently introduced.
“We’re going to have a 1-, 2-pound and bulk options,” Perez said. “They are the sweetest dates, really fresh and a good quality product. That’s a new item we want to push and continue to focus on.”
Additionally, the company will be exhibiting its fresh line of products, including some of its new packaged items, such as baby bok choy in a bag, turmeric from Fiji in a bag and hot peppers (a mix of orange and red). Perez promises a big spread of all the products it sells to the retail partners.
“We’ve seen the Asian segment increase year-to-year by double digits in sales,” Perez said. “We can do Opo squash, Chinese eggplant and specialty items in bulk to accommodate what the retailers need to continue to have fresh product on the shelves.”
In all, about 10 people from El Sol will be at IFPA, including Perez and company CEO Chris Del Prete.
“We’ll have a full team at the booth and meeting with people throughout the show,” Perez said. “This show is important because we get to see our retail partners and they can see all of the stuff we are doing first-hand. It reassures that the product going on their shelves is top-notch.”
Bringing in product from outside the U.S., El Sol is proud of its partners and that all products meet the expectations of the team, its retail partners and consumers.
“Our products follow the same rigor that products produced here in America do,” Perez said. “Whether it’s coming from Costa Rica or the Dominican Republic, it’s the same as if it was a potato from Idaho. We make sure that when a product reaches the shelf, a consumer has the confidence that the product is healthy, clean and consumer friendly.”
As 2025 nears the end, Perez is thrilled at what the company has been able to accomplish this year and looks forward to continued growth in the year ahead.
“Our company is still seeing double-digit increases and that’s incredible for a company that has been in business for over 30 years,” Perez said. “It’s a testament to the quality and service we provide and the partnerships with our retailers.”
