Curry & Co. to represent Driediger Farms for West Coast blueberry sales
Curry & Co. has expanded its blueberry program by partnering with Driediger Farms Ltd. from Langley, BC.
Driediger Farms is a wholesale and retail producer of fresh and IQF frozen strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, currants and rhubarb. Its products are packed and shipped across North America and exported to Asia, South America and Europe. Driediger Farms is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.
“We are quite excited about this partnership with Driediger Farms," Matt Curry, Curry & Co. president, said in a press release. "It increases our summer blueberry volumes significantly, allowing us to offer larger programs for a longer period of time to our customer base. Plus, we are proud that we’ll be working with one of the best-known quality brands and labels from Canada.”
Driediger Farms completed a state-of-the-art production facility in the spring of 2013, increasing its packing efficiencies for all of today’s retail packs ranging from 4.4-ounce clamshells to two-pound clamshells. It has been a leader in food-safety programs and is third-party audited and Kosher certified.
“We are second-generation farmers and have been cultivating the land of the lush Fraser Valley since 1964,” Rhonda Driediger, company president, said in the release. “The opportunity to partner with Curry & Company is a great fit with our company’s strategic growth plan. They have a strong retail presence and a growing, year-round blueberry program.”
