Ballantine adds to sales team
Ballantine Produce Co. in Reedley, CA, announced the addition of Greg Mancini to its sales and marketing team.
Mr. Mancini will be involved in all areas of sales of the company, including domestic and imported tree fruit, grapes and specialty items.
His experience in marketing stone fruit and grape programs will add depth to the Ballantine organization and sales strength to its diverse product offerings.
In addition to the "Ballantine? brand of premium and specialty fruit, Mr. Mancini brings experience to Ballantine?s Ripe N Ready program. He will focus on empowering existing and new Ripe N Ready customers with the necessary tools, top-quality fruit and consumer-focused strategies to grow their business.
Upon graduating from California State University-Fresno, Mr. Mancini?s produce industry career began in 1973 with a four-year position as a transportation manager with Nash De Camp Co. For the next seven years, he transitioned to buyer for Topco/West Coast, focused primarily on tropical fruit. He also worked to introduce the Chilean import program into that buying office as a new profit center.
Mr. Mancini switched to sales, and from 1983 to 2000, he held positions with several successful stone fruit, grape and specialty fruit marketing enterprises including the Duda Co. subsidiary, Western Fruit Sales, again at Nash De Camp as a senior sales team member, and at Ito Packing of Reedley, concentrating on the sales and marketing of Ito?s many proprietary fruit varieties, grapes and fall products.
For the past five years, Mr. Mancini has been part of Wespak Sales Inc. of Dinuba, CA, where he was responsible for developing domestic accounts. In addition to marketing Wespak?s private labels, his concentration was on developing accounts for the Summeripe fruit program.
