Wonderful Pistachios joins forces with the Grinch to steal holiday sales
Wonderful Pistachios will kick off the holiday season with an integrated campaign with “Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch.” The campaign will consist of two television commercials, an online digital campaign, in-store point-of-sale, including bins and standees, and a Times Square billboard.
In the two new commercials, the cynical grump takes a break from his usual antics to munch on his favorite green snack, Wonderful Pistachios. The first commercial will air Oct. 29, prior to the film’s Nov. 9 premiere date. A second commercial will air shortly thereafter and will feature the Wonderful Pistachios No Shells brand for the first time on television. To amplify the two green icons’ massive global appeal, China, Mexico, Canada and France will also be airing the campaign.
“Wonderful Pistachios is the green icon of healthy snacking, so partnering with The Grinch, the green icon of the holidays, is the perfect opportunity to spread green holiday cheer to moviegoers everywhere,” said Adam Cooper, vice president of marketing for The Wonderful Company.
The integrated marketing campaign was created by Wonderful Pistachios’s in-house creative team, Wonderful Agency, led by Chief Creative Officer Darren Moran.
