Vine Line expands Midwest footprint with new cold-storage, distribution facility

With a long lineage of success as one of the top distributors located within the Midwest, Vine Line has recently opened a state-of-the art cold storage and distribution facility in Cedar Rapids, IA.

The vision behind the 46,000-square-foot facility is to develop new pipelines throughout the Midwest. Vine Line has been able to leverage its preexisting relationships, created through the company’s logistics and produce distribution services, to showcase its ability to be a full-service provider to the Midwest’s growing refrigerated goods industry.

Vine Line also put incredible thought and consideration into how the facility operates. Incorporating the latest temperature-controlled monitoring software providing the ability to store a variety of commodities and products inside individual coolers.

In a short amount of time they’ve successfully deployed programs that include inbound and outbound logistics, cross-docking, storage, inspection, re-packing, and re-distribution for customers all throughout the Midwest region. Given the location of the facility, most of the major markets in Illinois, Ohio, Indiana, Nebraska, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Wisconsin, Michigan and both North and South Dakota are reachable within a single-day trucking transit.

With an already solid foundation, Vine Line has decided to expand its marketing efforts of the cold storage facility and associated warehouse service offering. The experience Vine Line provides is evident at each level of the distribution process and always the center of its customers' experience.
