Sweepstakes helps Domex spring into cherry season
Domex Superfresh Growers is springing into cherry season with the launch of its Sweeten up Your Summer photo sweepstakes. For the past two cherry seasons, Domex drove more than 50 million consumer impressions to its #EatCherries summer social campaign on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and its consumer blog.
“It is no secret how much consumers love cherries," Howard Nager, Domex vice president of marketing, said in a press release. "They are always a great accompaniment to any and all of their summertime activities. We have found that consumers also enjoy posting photos on social media of their family and friends sharing laughs, great times and enjoying the sweet taste of cherries. Consumer-focused marketing promotions like our Sweeten up Your Summer sweepstakes help us to create an active online dialogue with our consumers, generating excitement for the cherry category and helping prepare our retail partners for the changing demands of the modern marketplace."
For 2016, Domex has refreshed its digital social content kit with its new Superfresh Cherries video, updated graphics and art for social promotion, pre-written tweets, product photography and delicious cherry recipes.
“Our retail partners have found our content kits to be very useful in helping them accurately talk about our cherry varieties," Nager said in the release. "The content is designed to easily plug in to a retailer’s social content calendar and workflow, saving their social community manager’s time and resources. We can also create custom content based on the needs and goals of our retail partner.”
To enter, consumers are asked to upload an original photo to Twitter, Facebook, Instagram or Pinterest showing off how Superfresh cherries sweeten up their summer — from family gatherings and summer vacation adventures to sporting events and outdoor picnics. The image caption should include the Superfresh hashtag #EatCherries and the company should be tagged: @Superfreshgrowers. The photo-sharing sweepstakes will start June 1 and end July 31.
Through a random drawing held in early August, three winners will be announced. One grand prize winner will receive a gift card for $1,000, one first prize winner will receive a gift card for $500, and one second prize winner shall receive a gift card for $250.
