TIPA sees strong turnout for annual golf tournament

On a beautiful South Texas summer day, the eighth (mostly) annual TIPA Golf Tournament kicked off with a full field, as 144 players took to the course on Friday, July 30, at the Palm View Golf Course in McAllen, TX. The tournament, which took a COVID-break in 2020, provided an opportunity for members to join together for camaraderie and friendly competition. The day’s wins went to the teams from Kingdom Fresh for first place Gross, and the team from Coast Tropical & Majestic Produce for the first place Net. A portion of the proceeds from the tournament will go toward the Texas Produce Hall of Fame scholarship fund, helping with the costs of education for the next generation of produce professionals.

"A tremendous thank you to the players, sponsors, committees and staff that made the 2021 TIPA Golf Tournament a success!” said TIPA President and CEO Dante Galeazzi.
