NEPC golf tournament marks silver anniversary

KINGSTON, MA — The New England Produce Council celebrated the silver anniversary of its golf tournament Tuesday, July 20. About 135 golfers participated on a very hot and sunny day at the Indian Pond Country Club, here.

The winning team consisted of Barry Paul of Shaw's Supermarkets with Aris Pappas, Jamie Unglesbee and Brian Taylor of Pete Pappas & Sons Inc. Bo Lynch of Don Shapiro Inc. won the putting contest. Kevin Keough of Olivia's Organics won the men's closest to the pin, and Jodie Reardon of Shaw's Supermarkets won the women's closest to the pin. Mike Muccio of S. Strock & Co. won the men's longest drive, and Corrine Barry of Dole won the women's longest drive.

As in previous years, money raised from the 25th annual golf tournament will benefit the NEPC Scholarship Fund, according to NEPC Executive Director Laura Sullivan.
