FPFC holds sold-out SoCal golf tourney

The Fresh Produce & Floral Council held its annual golf tournament July 19 at Tustin Ranch Golf Club in Tustin, CA. The sold-out event celebrated its 30th anniversary.

After a full day of golfing, FPFC Chair Kori Martin of Oppy and Golf Committee Chairs Bill Laliberte of WJL Distributors and Shonna Williams of Cardenas Markets recognized the winning teams at the awards ceremony.

Closest to Pin winners were Philip Barrientos of Baja Son Growers, Carlos M. and Michael Richmond of Veg-Fresh. The Men’s and Women’s Longest Drive Winners were MJ Morin of Kern Ridge Growers and Esther Hernandez of Veg-Fresh. The First Place team was Todd Butler and Adam Laliberte of WJL Distributors, Jacob Cadwallader of Stater Bros. Markets and Shonna Williams of Cardenas Markets. The Second Place team was Michael Richmond of Veg-Fresh, Roger Yang, Mark Hannan and Marco Fosado of Jetro. And the Third Place Team was Jason Higbee, Doug Stewart, MJ Morin and Mark Weimann of Kern Ridge Growers.

The next FPFC event will be the Aug. 17 Membership Luncheon at the Sheraton Cerritos with Master of Ceremonies Dennis McIntyre of Stater Bros. Markets and Dr. Charles Brenner from City of Hope.
