The floral industry is a dynamic and exciting sector that is constantly evolving. For many in the industry, events like the Floral Distribution Conference are essential to staying connected and informed. Sahid Nahim, CEO of New Bloom Solutions, has attended FDC multiple times and believes it is one of the top industry conventions. "FDC allows us to recharge and get inspired for the rest of the year. We were able to catch up, connect with our current customers, and meet potential new customers," said Nahim.

The most recent FDC, held in March 2023, was exceptional according to Molly Mullins, executive vice president of the Wholesale Florist & Florist Supplier Association. "We had a total of 630 attendees (which was a WFFSA record in recent history) as well as sold-out Table Tops with 112 exhibitors, and a wait list," said Mullins. The event featured numerous activities such as Wholesaler Discussion Groups and Speed Networking, which attendees found valuable. "This year's FDC may be the best one yet," she said.

Adam Robertson, marketing supervisor of WF&FSA, also noted the high energy and engagement among attendees. "There was so much energy in the air, especially among the table top displays," said Robertson, pointing to the significant increase in social media activity during the event. "Social media posts directed at WF&FSA during the conference increased by 444 percent from last year's conference, meaning people were 444 percent more active on social media posting about the conference than last year.” This increase resulted in WF&FSA gaining 425 percent more followers during the conference compared to last year.

The success of FDC 2023 is a testament to the importance of industry events in building connections and sharing knowledge. As Mullins noted, "We even had people say that FDC is the event to meet up with potential customers." Attending events like FDC is essential to stay informed and ahead of industry trends. "We were able to catch up, connect with our current customers, and meet potential new customers," said Nahim. Robertson agreed, "This year's FDC certainly delivered on that."

Looking ahead, WF&FSA plans to continue expanding FDC and making it even more valuable for attendees. "Next year we will be expanding the floorplan and continue to expect the event to grow," said Mullins. With the energy and engagement seen at FDC 2023, the industry can expect even more valuable events in the future.
