Big crowd at SEPC’s Good Seeds MENtor Program
The Southeast Produce Council’s Good Seeds MENtor Program attracted a full crowd of about 200 people Friday morning, Sept. 13, during the council’s recent Southern Innovations event in Nashville, TN.
Ben Watson, a former National Football League tight end, as well as an author, speaker and advocate, spoke about “A Life of Faith, Family & Football.”
Born on Dec. 18, 1980, in Norfolk, VA, Watson grew up in a family where education and faith were highly valued. His father, Ken Watson, was a pastor, which provided Ben with a strong spiritual foundation from an early age. This foundation played a significant role throughout his life, influencing his decisions both on and off the field.
His journey from college football at the University of Georgia to a successful career in the NFL with teams like the New England Patriots and the New Orleans Saints is a testament to his hard work and dedication.
