Ocean Mist Farms will be exhibiting at SEPC’s Southern Innovations show once again this year, showcasing its Gold Standard artichokes along with other products from its full line of fresh vegetable commodities and value-added items.

“We look forward to participating in this SEPC show each year,” said Joe Angelo, director of sales for Ocean Mist Farms. “It’s a great opportunity to get some facetime with our southeastern customers and use this key customer engagement opportunity to do some fall, winter and holiday planning. We are, of course, always eager to see and be inspired by all the new innovations and technologies in our industry.”

The company will be exhibiting at booth No. 311, and company officials attending will be looking to talk with current and possibly new customers about what’s new. For instance, Ocean Mist expanded its value-added line recently with broccoli slaw, Brussels sprouts, broccoli florets and a vegetable medley in two-pound club packs.

Also at the booth, team members will talk about the company’s award-winning Season & Steam packs.

“We enjoy the relaxed setting of this show and always welcome seeing industry friends and colleagues,” said Mark Munger, senior director of marketing for the Castroville, CA-based company. “Planning and strategy is a collaboration between sales and marketing. Between setting up customer business meetings, ensuring that we bring our most current merchandising tools and coordinating booth and product shipments there is always a lot involved in preparing for a big customer event.”

Business in 2023 has been solid for Ocean Mist Farms, and the company has seen continued growth with value-added programs.

“We are gaining interest and traction with our value-added programs and are continuing to invest in our infrastructure to grow and build our capacity for the future,” Angelo said.

Looking ahead, 2024 marks a very special anniversary for Ocean Mist Farms and the company has lots planned to mark the occasion.

“We have a lot of exciting things on tap with our centennial anniversary coming up in 2024 which has been keeping us busy this year,” Munger said. “There’s such a rich history with this almost 100-year-old legacy company and we are looking forward to continuing our efforts on many fronts to set us up for the next 100 years.”
