Smuggling $17.4M of meth in produce is just coconuts

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at Pharr International Bridge seized more than $17.4 million in methamphetamine in a single enforcement action. The seizure occurred Sept. 28 when a CBP officer referred a tractor trailer hauling a shipment of coconuts for secondary inspection.

An independent survey of SNAP consumers demonstrated that grocery delivery increases access to nutritious food, saves valuable time and makes it easier for consumers to purchase affordable meals. DoorDash announced SNAP/EBT availability with new merchants nationwide, saying more than 1.8 million consumers have added their SNAP/EBT cards to DoorDash in the past year. A full 78 percent of surveyed SNAP recipients say they prefer to use their benefits for grocery delivery rather than using them in-store.
