J.R. Kelly Co. a leader in horseradish production
J.R. Kelly Co. is located in the heart of horseradish country in Collinsville, IL, just 15 miles east of St. Louis. The fertile soil creates the ideal environment for the production of high-quality horseradish.
J.R. Kelly was formed and for over 75 years has been supplying customers with fresh horseradish roots. Marketing several million pounds per year and shipping from coast to coast, J.R. Kelly Co. has become the top supplier in the United States.
J.R. Kelly offers the widest range of packaging options for the Grade No. 1 on the market.
Unwashed — the most natural version of the commodity with a bit of soil remaining on the roots.
Washed — a more retail friendly appearance and could be positioned in more places within the produce section (wet wall in addition to other refrigerated areas).
Tagged Roots — retail ready with an elastic tag to display a brand and PLU for ease at check out.
Shrink-wrapped roots — retail ready with stickers to display a PLU for ease at check out. The shrink-wrap decreases dehydration while also providing a space for private label to promote a brand.
In addition to the year-round options above, J.R. Kelly also offers greentops annually during the weeks leading up to Passover.
J.R. Kelly generally ships full or partial pallets with a full pallet being a 40-count of bags each containing 50 pounds of root for a total of 2,000 pounds. Offered in both 50-pound bulk and repack, (5-poiund or 10-pound perforated plastic bag).
