DNO Produce launches 10th annual Fresh Cut Food Drive
Embrace the season of generosity with DNO Produce's 10th Annual Fresh-Cut Food Drive, an initiative supporting WCBE 90.5 FM and the Mid-Ohio Food Collective.
Throughout December, DNO Produce is turning each donation to WCBE into an opportunity to provide 3 pounds of fresh, nutritious fruits and vegetables to those in need through the Mid-Ohio Food Collective. Whether big or small, every donation matters. This year marks the 10th year of collaboration between DNO and WCBE to lead this impactful food and fundraising initiative.
“Celebrating a decade of community commitment, DNO Produce is honored and excited to organize the Fresh-Cut Food Drive for the 10th year,” said Marissa Dake, vice president of brand and people at DNO Produce. “As a homegrown family produce company with deep roots in Central Ohio, we are proud to spearhead an effort that supports local radio and delivers fresh fruits and vegetables to families across the region. We encourage everyone to donate.”
Johnny DiLoretto, WCBE community relations director, expressed his gratitude for the enduring collaboration, said, “This annual partnership with DNO is one we’re all so proud of here at WCBE. Bringing our listeners together to support great music, much of it local, and directing that passion toward fighting hunger in our communities, is truly extraordinary. We can’t thank the DNO team and our members enough.”
“We are thankful to WCBE 90.5 and DNO Produce for their passion and commitment in helping our neighbors have fresh fruits and vegetables and other nutritious foods in their time of need,” said Matt Habash, president & CEO of Mid-Ohio Food Collective. “The demand for food in our 20-county service area of Central and Eastern Ohio is up 30 percent year over year. The effort of WCBE, its listeners, and DNO Produce will go a long way toward helping families overcome hunger.”
