Hood River Cherry Co. was founded by orchardists Kathryn Klein and Brad Fowler in 1993. By the late 90s, going into the early 2000s, the first fruit started to ramp up, and the family-run operation has been thriving ever since.

“All of our cherries are out of the Hood River Valley, tucked in here by Mt. Hood, off the Columbia River, and we’re a high-elevation and a late-season cherry,” said Jared Gidley, CEO of the Hood River, OR-based company.

Meijer will open a new 90,000-square-foot grocery format store on July 11 in Noblesville, IN. This is the first grocery format store by Meijer in Indiana, complementing its other 42 well-known supercenters throughout the state.

Dollar Tree Inc. acquired designation rights for 170 leases of 99 Cents Only Stores across Arizona, California, Nevada and Texas. As part of the transactions, Dollar Tree also acquired the North American intellectual property of 99 Cents Only Stores and select on-site equipment.

Dollar Tree expects to welcome customers from 99 Cents Only Stores as early as fall 2024.
