The holidays are here and while this year might look a little different, there’s still a lot of celebrating to be done. Whether you’re hosting a small family gathering or a Zoom happy hour, a festive cocktail is the perfect way to set a celebratory tone. This inviting, adults-only cocoa is made with a bottle of California red wine, like Merlot or Zinfandel. The fruit-forward flavors blend beautifully with warm chocolate and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Finish this dreamy dessert/cocktail with your choice of indulgent toppings. Mountains of whipped cream or toasted marshmallows are optional, but highly recommended.

Some holiday celebrations demand nothing less than a bottle of bubbly. Pop open your favorite California Sparkling wine and mix up a Raspberry Port Sparkler — a delightful drink that’s dressed for the occasion. 

Here’s how: Add two raspberries and one ounce of California Port-style wine to a flute. Use a chopstick or long spoon to muddle them together. Fill the glass with California sparkling wine and garnish with raspberries or edible flowers.
