Sweet potatoes are one of the most versatile foods around. They are great for babies and kids, adults, older adults, athletes, etc.

Sweet potatoes are nutritionally dense, which is one reason why they are an appealing food to all people. One medium sweet potato provides about four grams of fiber, and provides more than your daily recommended allotment of Vitamin A, an important nutrient for immune health.

Sweet potatoes are also high in Vitamin C. Vitamin C is important for the absorption of non heme iron, which is necessary for plant-based eating and vegan eating patterns.

Furthermore, sweet potatoes can be a great source of electrolytes, too. They naturally offer potassium and magnesium, and you can top them with sodium, making them the perfect post-workout food.

There are SO many ways to eat a sweet potato — you’ll be amazed at the things you can do with them. Sweet potatoes can be used in so many recipes, from breads and muffins, to pasta and pizza crust. So, if you’re not a fan of the typical baked sweet potato, try one of these methods!
