National Potato Council hosts successful Potato Expo in Denver

DENVER — The National Potato Council’s annual Potato Expo was a rousing success, drawing more than 1,800 attendees to Denver for the two-day event Jan. 4-5. In addition to a sold-out show floor, where 176 exhibitors featured everything from packaging solutions to fertilizers and equipment, the expo included a heavy dose of fun, with culinary competitions that included industry members and high-profile Food Network personalities.

John Groh graduated from the University of San Diego in 1989 with a bachelors of arts degree in English. Following a brief stint as a sportswriter covering the New York Giants football team, he joined The Produce News in 1995 as an assistant editor and worked his way up the ranks, becoming publisher in 2006.
