WP Rawl celebrates Driver of the Year Frank Flinn
WP Rawl's Frank Flinn has been awarded the South Carolina Trucking Association’s Driver of the Year Award. This honor recognizes Flinn’s outstanding dedication to safety, professionalism and excellence in the trucking industry.
Flinn has accumulated 48 years of experience as a CDL driver, with nearly 12 of those years as a dedicated WP Rawl driver. He is also a "Million Mile Driver" for the company — an elite group of drivers who have driven a million miles or more solely for WP Rawl. Flinn uses his extensive knowledge of regulations and company policies to consistently uphold high standards of performance.
"Throughout his time with the company, Frank has shown great intelligence and a strong commitment to doing his job well," said Tony Hoffman, transportation safety manager. "Frank works efficiently, rarely running into problems, and communicates clearly, especially when troubleshooting — though he seldom needs to. Frank tackles challenges with hard work and professionalism, always keeping a strong work ethic and an excellent safety record as a WP Rawl driver. His dedication was evident when he competed in The National Truck Driving Championship in Orlando, FL, in 2017, highlighting his drive for excellence in the industry."
Earlier this year, Flinn was selected as SCTA’s September Driver of the Month, a testament to his impeccable driving record, courteous demeanor and commitment to the highest standards of the profession. His consistent dedication has not only set a benchmark for his peers but also reinforced WP Rawls' commitment to excellence in transportation and logistics.
Flinn was recognized Wednesday, March 26, 2025 as SCTA's Driver of the Year at Truck Fest 2025 in Columbia, SC. In addition to this honor, Flinn's record was reviewed by officials from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, South Carolina State Transport Police and South Carolina Highway Safety Office, leading to his selection as the state’s Driver of the Year.
