“Eric has been an integral part of the Grimmway team for over three decades,” said Jeff Huckaby, president and CEO of Grimmway Farms. “He has consistently demonstrated exemplary leadership and a deep understanding of the complexities of our business and the produce industry. He has been a driving force in our organization for many years and his commitment to our team, the customers and quality has been instrumental in the growth and success of Grimmway Farms today.”

Proffitt joined Grimmway in 1993 and most recently served as the executive vice president of sales and marketing. With a deep understanding of Grimmway’s business model, his influence has increasingly grown beyond the sales and marketing department. For years, he has been integral in overall demand planning, both in the fields and facility operations. Proffitt’s matchless knowledge of the inner workings of the company brings unique benefits and insights to the business.

“I am truly honored to take on this broader role at Grimmway Farms,” said Proffitt. “It has been an incredible journey working with such a talented and dedicated team. I look forward to expanding my involvement companywide as we drive Grimmway toward continued growth and success.”

In addition to his duties at the company, Proffitt serves on the Cal Poly College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences Dean’s Advisory Council and as a member of the Fresh-Cut Processor Council with the International Fresh Produce Association.
